It’s a veritable hit famine

Having gathered all those stats in
Now softly, sweetly tap in
“Yankees lose and Nats win”

You’ll find the Daily News a-yappin’
“How the hell could this have happened?
They’re the team we took a crap in!

Turn into bailing quitters?
